When to use: Benadryl is an antihistamine medication which is particularly good at relieving allergic symptoms. Use Benadryl for nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, itching of the nose and throat, itchy watery eyes or other respiratory allergies due to hay fever (allergic rhinitis). It is also useful to treat itching due to any cause, especially with rashes due to allergy or viruses. Use Benadryl to treat insect bite and sting reactions. Do not use Benadryl in a child under the age of one year without the advice of a doctor.
Dosage: every 4 hours. We recommend the 12.5 mg. per 5 mL strength.
Side Effects: Benadryl may cause drowsiness or less commonly agitation or insomnia. Other side effects are rare.

Children over the age of 12 years and adults may take Benadryl tablets or Kapseals 25 mg., 1 to 2 capsules every 4 hours.
